How to fly the plane with your vape?

Flying abroad or within Canada?

Obviously, you would want to bring your vaping gear with you but wouldn’t want to have your new shiny mod and premium eLiquid confiscated? That’s a reasonable concern!

Follow these following tips & safety precautions and you should be in the clear.

  • Put all of your e-juice in zip lock bags and make sure they’re closed. As the pressure changes “up there”, they have a good chance of leaking. Bring them in your carry on bag to avoid accidents on clothes, after all, you wouldn’t want to arrive to a new country and walk in oil stained pants or have to go shop on your first day there!

  • Your mod should also be stored in your carry-on bag – do not put it in your checked luggage.

  • The lithium batteries shouldn’t be in your checked luggage either. Store them in your carry-on bag too. It’s a pretty good idea to store them in battery cases (which are under $1,00 / case online) unless you’re looking for ways to get a free ticket to Guantanamo Bay.

  • You cannot charge your vape mod on the plane – it is prohibitted. Make sure your batteries are charged for you to enjoy your vape once you get off the plane.

  • Why wait until you’re off the plane you say? You only do mouth to lung (MTL) hits you say? Advice: don’t do it. It is banned and will most likely get you in trouble if you get caught.

  • Last but not least, empty your tank of eliquid before you board the plane. With the pressure changing, your tank will most likely leak and instead of spending your time drinking mojitos and watching boring movies you’ll be cleaning up your oily mess.
